Building Familiarity with Modifiability Scales for Dynamic Assessment (Mitchell, Carey, & Bender, 2024).

What an honor to be accepted to present at the National Black Association for Speech-Language and Hearing (NBASLH) 2024 Annual Convention! In this poster presentation, Amanda Carey, Frank Bender, and I take a deeper look at modifiability scales- what they are, examples from the research, clinical impressions, and recommendations. Many of the resources uploaded with this presentation are similar to the other posters. However, the articles provided also include a more narrow focus on modifiability scales and a justification for using DA with speakers of the African American English language variety.
A special thanks to Jenny Siler, M.S., CCC-SLP for her valuable contributions!
